Punjab govt has revoked the suspension orders of ADGP Parmar

Punjab government has revoked the suspension orders of ADGP, SPS Parmar(IPS). Earlier Punjab government had extended the suspension period of ADGP, SPS Parmar, IPS officer of 1997 batch for 4 months from April to August 2025.

Parmar was placed under suspension with immediate effect under Rule 3(1)(a) of the All India services (Discipline & Appear) Rules, 1969 vide order No. 02 / 15 / 2O25-2HI/824-831, dated April 25,2025.

On April 25,2025, the Punjab government had suspended than Punjab Vigilance Bureau chief SPS Parmar, IPS and VB AIG SAS Nagar, Swarandeep Singh (PPS) and VB SSP Jalandhar Harpreet Singh Mander (PPS) in connection with an alleged driving licence scam. 

AIG Swarandeep and SSP Harpreet Mander were already reinstated without any break in their service.
